Question:
How can I make my shed shorter?
Answer:
Sometimes you have a clearance problem or a visibility problem and need to make your shed shorter. This is a fairly simple process.
All my shed plans have a finished wall height and a recommended stud length which serves as a starting point for your calculations. The process for making your shed shorter is:
- Determine the difference between the normal finished height and your desired height.
- Reduce the recommended stud length by this amount
- You will have to trim the siding by this same amount.
The door frame verticals are cut to fit so no calculations necessary here.
Otherwise the shed construction is the same.
